Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Mr. Mehdi Eker, Governor of Diyarbakir Mustafa Toprak, Diyarbakir Deputies held a meeting with the leading managers regarding the investments in the province and exchanged views on the investments and operations.
Investor organizations such as 10th Regional Directorate of State Water Works, Regional Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration, 9th Regional Directorate of Highways, Provincial Bank, Provincial Directorate of Environmental and Urbanism, Provincial Directorate of Health, Provincial Directorate of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Provincial Directorate of National Education, Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Provincial Directorate of Youth Services and Sport, Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies, Special Provincial Administration and Karacadağ Development Agency provided information about ongoing projects in the province and mentioned about what needs to be done in the elimination of challenges arising in the implementation of the projects.Following the presentations, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Mehdi Eker made a statement to the press. In his speech, he mentioned the following topics: “218 km long main canal construction will be finished by the end of the year.”“Construction of 6 junctions begin in the entrance and exit of Diyarbakir”“60 million TL is going to be spent in the restoration of historical artifacts in Diyarbakir”“A new 1500 – bed hospital is being built in the area of Education and Research Hospital”“20 million TL are allocated from Centers of Attraction Project to the foundation works and restoration of historical monuments in Diyarbakir for being made quickly”“Studies about 30 thousand-seat stadium planned by Housing Development Administration are in progress” Speaking after the Minister Eker, Mustafa Toprak cited that “what matters is to spend the financial resources allocated effectively. We thank to the our Minister for at this meeting, a general framework drawn about current and prospective projects and works in Diyarbakir. Once again, we are reminded that we have sufficient resources”.
