Business Women Meet İn Diyarbakir For İnvestment

New investment opportunities to the region were discussed during the meeting held in Diyarbakir, and chaired by the Former Minister Güldal Akşit, with the participation of representatives of Turkey's largest 50 companies.
Fifty businessperson and representatives attended the meeting from Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Turkey, Association of Independent Industrialists Businessmen, Boyner Holding Company, Aras Holding Company, Limak Holding Company, and some other NGO's. At the opening ceremony, Mustafa Toprak, Governor of Diyarbakir, said: "there are many people to come to the region for investment. This visit will provide a major contribution to the process. Diyarbakir has overcome its past undesirable conditions relating to the security. It is time to invest in, to travel and to enjoy the beauties of the region".
Gürdal Akşit: We bring businesswomen to Diyarbakır for investment.
The Former Minister Gürdal Akşit said they brought businesswomen here in purpose to invest in Diyarbakır. "We don't want to the young people die anymore regardless of political opinion. Although our identities, ethnic origins, birth places are different, we are all citizens of this country. We have to make sacrifice and question ourselves what we did and what we can do more. Another side of this visit is: Our country is experiencing a process that we call the solution process. We don't want mothers to cry anymore. We want this country to raise good sons and girls. We should develop serenity and peace for people, like we do for our neighbors."
Boyner: We should accelerate the investments with State's support
At the meeting, Ümit Boyner, Member of the Board of Directors of Boyner Holding and TUSIAD former President, said; investment in the region should be accelerated with the state's support. Boyner, "I'm here today with my four friends from Boyner group. We have already different activities here. We have stores in the region. Why don't we provide more jobs to reduce unemployment? We should discuss it. There are lots of things to do, especially to employ women and young. For this purpose we have to enhance workforce, help people develop their professional capacity. We should co-operate with State".
On-site visit to Organized Industrial Zone
At second day of the meeting, Ilhan KARAKOYUN, Secretary General of Karacadağ Development Agency, make a presentation about "Opportunities and Investment Environment in Diyarbakir". Mehmet Yurdal ŞAHİN, Deputy Generla Director at Ministry of Economy, informed the participants about "New State Incentives". Then meeting participants visited Bistex Textile and Karavil Group.
