Diyarbakir İs Actualizing Solar Park Project

Electricity is going to be produced by solar energy in Sümerpark located in Yenişehir that is central district of Diyarbakır. Solar Park Project Support Contract submitted by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality was signed by Co-President of the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Gültan Kışanak, Fırat Anlı and Karacadağ Development Agency Secretary-General Dr. İlhan Karakoyun under the Karacadağ Development Agency 2014 Renewable Energy Financial Support Program.
Solar Park will be an example to the region
666 thousand TL granted by Karacadağ Development Agency will be given to Solar Park Project that will be carried out with an investment of 1 million 567 thousand TL.3000-3500 square meters of photovoltaic systems will be laid in Sümerpark. 500 kW photovoltaic systems will be installed so that with the electrical energy obtained from the sun, 85% of its energy needs can be met in this way. Converting Sümerpark into the Solar Park will be the model that will be leading the development of the sector. Project expected to be completed in 9 months will reduce energy costs of Metropolitan Municipality. Also, will also be a source of academic information for undergraduate, graduate academic studies. Solar Workshop will be opened within Department of Social Services in Sümerpark
