Specialists working at the regional development agencies (RDAs) gathered to discuss how to improve the existing technical and financial support system of the RDAs in Turkey and legislative amendments
The meeting, held between 6-8th of September, 2012 at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in Sanliurfa, was hosted by the Karacadağ Development Agency. 18 Development Agencies with a total of 34 specialists as well experts from the Ministry of Development and TUBITAK-BİLGEM-UEKAE G222 participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, special sessions were held in order to exchange experiences among participating RDAs and in order to discuss how to improve the existing support mechanisms and to develop new support mechanisms. In addition, TUBITAK Software experts, provided a brief on the process of “Development Agencies Program Management System-KAYS".
As a result of the meeting, a proposal for amendments in the legislation shall be submitted to the Ministry of Development.
On the third day, the participants paid a visit to projects in Halfeti County that were financed by Karacadağ Development Agency under the Tourism Infrastructure Financial Assistance Program.
