A Practical Entrepreneurship Training Course with 44 women attendees was held by Home Oriented Working Women and Social Rights Association as a means of a granted project awarded by Karacadag DA.
Mustafa Toprak, the governor of Diyarbakır and also the chairman of the board of directors of Karacadağ DA, gave the certificates of theh course trainees in a ceremony performed in the Agency’s head office.
The governor Toprak stated that woman entrepreneurs had began to take place more in business world in recent years. Adding that the government was actively supporting the nongovernmental organizations and professional associations having positive discrimination activities for women. He also said that “the number of women entrepreneurs is growing every day. Our women are not only saying that they were here in business life and struggling for it, but also they are bearing the whole burden of their families. To do that they make much more effort compared to men. They want to widen their place in the business environment. We can see how big successes they can easily make, in case they have such an opportunity. Ownership of a Practical Entrepreneurship Certificate, which is the first condition needed to be fulfilled to have a credit from KOSGEB, is provided with the help of ‘Supporting Entrepreneur Women’ projects granted by our DA. Thus, 44 entrepreneur women have stepped their first pace to establish their own businesses. By this way, our DA has supported the women in a huge attempt to build their future.”
Aycan Cankurt Güven, the chairwoman of the board of directors of Home Oriented Working Women and Social Rights Association, has said that their association is carrying out works to empower the statue of women in the society and to improve basic women rights. She also indicated that “We are promoting literacy courses and professional training courses related predominantly handicrafts for the women who are the half of the whole society. These new attendees have sacrificed from their families, from their kids and got Practical Entrepreneurship Certificate. After that, these 44 entrepreneur women will establish their business with the help of the course and the certificate. We deeply appreciate the Karacadag DA for their support and the information they gave.”
