Pınar, Turkey's leading food brand, plans to build a new dairy plant, in Sanliurfa's 2nd Organized Industrial Zone. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on Sunday, May 12, 2013 with the participation of Science Industry and Technology Minister Nihat Ergun, Labour and Social Security Minister Faruk Celik, the Food Agriculture and Livestock Minister Mehdi Eker, Sanliurfa Governor Celalettin Güvenç, MP's of Sanliurfa, Sanliurfa Deputy Mayor Fevzi Yücetepe, Secretary General of Karacadağ DA Dr. Ilhan Karakoyun and senior managers of Yaşar Holding.

Pınar, founded in 1973 and introduced the Turkish people with long-life milk and one of the Yaşar Holding companies, turned its  investment route to Sanliurfa. Pınar will be the only large-scale production company in and around Sanliurfa by using modern production technologies. Pınar's Sanliurfa Factory will be established on an area of about 100 thousand square meters and with raw milk collected in Sanliurfa and surrounding cities, its daily processing capacity will be 500.000 liters. Factory will employ 250 people directly; create indirect source of income for five thousand people with areas such as raw materials, sales, shipping, packaging and production. Also it will evaluate labor of thousands of milk producers. Pınar will improve the quality of dairy and dairy products by receiving milk and other services such as veterinary, artificial insemination methods, farmer training. Pınar investment in Sanliurfa planned to cost about 100 million TL.
In the first stage, long-life milk, yogurt, buttermilk milk, milk products and fruit juice will be produced. Pınar Dairy Factory in Sanliurfa is designed to increase variety of products in accordance with the needs. With Şanlıurfa's Project Pınar will reach about 2.5 million liters processing capacity of raw milk per day in Turkey. Being in the center of Southeastern Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia and Eastern Mediterranean regions and proximity to export routes have played a major role in choosing to invest in Şanlıurfa. Pınar exports to Iraq, Syria, Iran and the Gulf States, is expected to increase further with the Şanlıurfa investment.
