Austrian Breeders Seeking Investment İn Diyarbakır

Anton Wagner, Chairman Cattle Breeders' Association of Austria, and the Austrian Trade officials came to Diyarbakır.
The delegation had a meeting with Ahmet SAYAR, Chairman of Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Deputy Chairman Şilan ELMAS, General Director of Agrarian Reform Dr. Gürsel KÜSEK and Secretary General Karacadağ Development Agency Dr. Ilhan KARAKOYUN.
Diyarbakır Livestock Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) was visited by the delegation before meeting. Ahmet SAYAR said that the development of animal husbandry in our city has a potential to make important contribution to the regional economy. In this context, mutual co-operation between the two countries is very important. We are ready to fulfill all the duties incumbent upon us. We are well aware how Austria is successful in breeding cattle farming. In this sense, sharing your experience with us will be helpful.Anton Wagner, Chairman Cattle Breeders' Association of Austria, said that we have been building closer relations with Turkey. It is time to implement sustainable projects related breeding of cattle. Our Association consists of 18 breeding union and we have 30 thousand farmers in total. The Association is mainly composed of family facilities. Our aim is to respond to the growing need. In this sense, marketing of farmers’ own production is very important to us. We have to give importance to education and research as we are real representatives of the farmers. Giving more consulting and training services will help farmers to be successful.
